Yes, it does take some time. I still wouldn't let Yoda run around at all anywhere there is cars or bikes, etc... Or people playing ball or anything else dangerous, just in wide open spaces, he's really good. I dunno how that came about, but I believe we didn't really leave him off the leash for a good while, until he learned to stay close. Time does help for things like this.
