You don't. I pad trained my girls, but also took them outside every hour or so. If they need to potty while outside, they will. And when they do, you praise them. Mine are 27 & 26 months old, and if we need to leave them home, they have a pad down, when we travel and end up in a motel, we put a pad down. I don't like going outside early morning or late night in strange places. Mine know when the pad is put down, that they won't be going outside. It's wonderful to have them trained to both. |
