I checked one in particular (Nutro) and found that Menu Foods is contracted to produce only a portion of that companies canned and pouch foods. It does not produce any of Nutro's dry food. So, no reason right now to believe the recall will be widened.
It happens with people food too. Just recently Peter Pan and Walmarts Great Food Peanut Butters were recalled. But only certain product numbers and production dates -- same as with the dog food.
