Those comments were made by people in Feb 06 and concerned the Chicken Jerky Strips not the Chicken Sticks. According to information I am reading online and a notice from Bestro the Chicken Jerky Strips were recalled in error due to a misunderstanding. Product was labeled that it had been irradiated to kill bacteria which is not sufficient for avian flu/salmonella but the product is also subjected to extreme heat for 10 hours and microwaved so it was found to be safe. It was not that they found any salmonella or avian flu in the product -- it was a product information issue.
What is not good about it? It is just chicken. |
