I don't know if this will help...but when I'm pad training my puppies ( I have a litter now, that I will soon start training)..I have them in a large crate. There is a bed in there and I pull it right up next to the door. Right outside the door is a pee pad. When I let them out...they will not be allowed off the pad until they potty and then I just rub their chest and I put just a tad of Nutri-cal on my finger...just enough for taste as a treat for them and then I let them off the paper. After about 15 minutes...I'll put them all back on the paper again. It takes so much time...but is so worth it. It's just something that seems to work for me.
