Archie was almost 5 months when we got him, and he was pretty big (5 or 6 lbs). He's 8 months and 9lbs now. I don't think you can really tell by the weight, though. But as he grew older, all the black hair around his face started to turn tan. Yorkies are born almost completely with black hair and tan hair starts developing around their face and legs. Also, check the teeth. Archie's baby teeth started falling out around 6 or 7 months. But with training--some Yorkies are trained pretty early so you can't really tell. Is your Yorkie a boy or a girl? As Archie grew older, he started to molest my stuffed animals...but he's not neutered yet. |
