All commercial dog food is not bad. Ingredients vary greatly from some of the brands sold in grocery stores to the premium brands that use only human grade food.
I have a can of Evangers for instance that has two ingredients: Chicken and Spring Water -- now how bad could that be?
I use Canidae Dog food -- it has no corn, soy, wheat or by-products. I could eat it, although I think I'll pass.
