Do you guys think I should just wait to buy a puppy when my husband deploys in 2008 or take the chance and get one now? Last time I had a Yorkie she didn't bark much at all but that was that one Yorkie. Do other Yorkies bark alot? Do you think theres a good chance I'd get caught? I'd be with her or him all the time so it would get lots of attention and hopefully not bark much. I know this is a stupid question but I've been debating on risking it for a few days now but want some more advice on what I should do.

Thanks,

Alaska? ALASKA???? Yes, GET THE YORKIE! If you get caught, you can give him to ME!

Welcome to YT. Alaska members are few and far between around here. In fact, I think it's just you and me right now. It's depressing. Everyone else goes to Yorkie meetups and lets their Yorkies play with other Yorkies, but the only YTers with Alaska connections are former Alaskans who go on and on about how much they miss it but never return with their Yorkies.

But I'm not bitter.

OK, back to reality. Sorry. How about asking your apartment manager if they will make an exception for a tiny dog? Show him/her some pictures of Yorkies. It's not as though they tear up the furniture of anything.

Anyhow, don't give up. And if you get one, come find us for a play date!
