I started my Bijou out on puppy pads. I had never done this with any of my other dogs but she was so little when I got her. Not to mention that during December when she came home to me, we were having day after day of below zero temps. She was to cold to go outside, much less go outside and sniff around for a pee/poop spot. Thus, we put a few wee pads around the kitchen area. She began using those like a pro. Now that the weather is nicer, she loves going outside with the rest of the zoo.
