I am SO glad I asked this question. Since Wy became an adult, we pretty much let him in the back yard (fenced w/ adobe) to do his business. We really thought that his size (7.5) was beyond what a predatory bird would grab.

THANK you all for clearing this up. I guess I've been very lucky. Thanks also for not judging me - I really thought he was okay in our yard.
