I went to a dog show and my dogs got sick when I got home. There were a couple of dogs there that had upset stomachs so I assumed my dogs had picked up a virus. I gave them Imodium and kept feeding them. When they started passing pure blood, I took them to the vet. He said that the GI tract was inflamed and gave them a/d food and told me to give them lots of water.
All but my 3 smallest got better. My girl Nona is very lethargic. She has a stage 5 heart murmur so she is not healthy anyway. Deuce seems to be feeling better but still has a very loose stool. My tiny boy Ace only weighs 3 lbs. He just lays on his bed and drools. Normally, he is a very active little guy.
He is fearless. He will challenge the biggest dog at the show. It's hard to watch this fun, active little dog suffer. He will look at me and his eyes seem to be pleading for help. I think he will die.

My vet is treating symptoms and has told me what to watch and when to take him the the ER vet. I have an appointment to take them to an internal med vet next week.
