In the end, as a business...it is about their bottom line. Go to your supermarket right now. Notice the grapes imported from Chile? The white corn from Mexico.
We could produce it here. But it is more expensive to do so.
Nothing new, in the world of business and economics.
And US grain...the excess...the govt pays the farmers to BURN the excess. Nothing new.
