Honestly I think he would be better off and safer being at home in your place while you are gone in a gated area or an x-pen. If it were me that is what I would do. I honestly think that people get a bit too crazy thinking that our pets need sitters unless you are gone for overly long periods of time. When Lex was a baby I had him in his x-pen set up with all that he would need while we were going to be out. If it were me I would just keep him at home and situated in an x-pen. He will be much safer there and you can just free feed him. JMO
