As for cruel, I guess not. Silly..... yes, IMO. I may not be saying that if we lived somewhere very cold and icy or if I walked my dog on 150 degree asphalt but I don't so I just never thought doggie shoes were necessary and would probably laugh if I saw one wearing them. But of course.... to each their own!
