Layla does not get left home alone.. but that's a choice that our family made... when i am at school she is at work with my parents (we have our own business) i think that she could be left alone (when she was younger she would get very upset when she coudlnt' see me) but now if i have to go out and do something in the yard.. i leave her and she is very content sitting on the stairs. but as a rule, no, she is not left alone.
