A fungal / yeast infection causes an unbelievable smell, and a wash wouldn't get rid of it....you would need an injection and a special shampoo from your vet....Just something it could be: though I think it would more likely be the smell off his urine - he might not be aiming it right....my male does this, and I have to wash his legs !
