if you took her to the vet she is probably just associates you with the vet office (not pleasant)
or maybe there is someone else (a male son or friend???? ) that has stepped on her or something making her afraid of men????
It takes a little time for anyone to bond to their pet .... there was one woman on here who had a problem with her pup being a nuisance (agressive... not bonding with her... ect.... ) but now i guess they are both doing fine.... i would say take it slow, give her lots of treats... when you approach her talk to her in a soothing voice and always approach her in a way so she can see you coming... if you come up behind her you are likely to scare her even more......
