It is so tough to see symptons and not know the diagnosis. I know that first hand. We think Icky has some liver problems due to the bile acid test we had but the numbers were not high enough to indicate shunt. I would suggest that you go to yahoo and join the group for liver shunt and mvd dogs. You will find a lot of support and wealth of knowledge there. If you do not already have him on a liver supplement you may want to start there. You can use Marvin or something with milk thistle. That will help to restore liver cells. Did your vet say anything about antibiotic or lactulose or even a low protein diet? If not then you should ask or look for another vet who knows more about liver issues. Also, if he starts to seizure call them right away. I am no expert but have done a lot of research on the topic. Feel free to pm me if I can be of any further help. Good luck and I hope your baby is soon feeling better.
