First, I'm going to try to find out some more information about this lawsuit --- just to make sure it isn't just due to some over zealous tort litigators. I can't even remember how many notices of class action lawsuits I've gotten over the years. I usually decline to participate.
This release doesn't state exactly what problems the excess vitamin D causes or which specific foods are involved.
Then --- well, I don't know what. I have purchased, thrown out, given away so many bags of dry food that my two will not eat. Don't know of many I have not tried. Royal Canin is the only one they will eat and they really like it.
My three cats also eat Royal Canin --- in fact it is the only food my little girl kitty eats. She doesn't really like canned cat food and will not eat any "people food" at all. The other two would just as soon eat nothing but rotisserie chicken and grilled salmon.
We were talking about this at puppy class tonight and all agreed don't really know what is best any longer. Sure, you could home cook their food, but with the recent spinach and lettuce mess and the problems with hormones and other junk in meat ---- who knows what is safe any longer. |
