I'm not a breeder but I think they missed it. It would really hurt to chew it off. Gus has his dewclaws because he is from Germany. When he catches one on something he howls in pain. I dread the day he ever tears one.
Remember to trim the nail. Dewclaws grow faster than the other nails because they aren't worn down from walking. If they grow too long they can start to grow into the flesh. They are easy to forget about. |
