I am a new member so please forgive me if I repeat something that has already been discussed.

I have a 7 year old Yorkie named Greta which has not been spayed. My husband feels that it would not be best for her, but the vet suggests it every time I take Greta. The vet gives me no specific reasons, so I am not sure why it would be suggested. Greta has had a couple of litters prior, but I do not plan for any additional puppies. Greta does have very heavy bleeding when she comes into season.

Could someone please enlighten me on the pros & cons of having her spayed? I am torn.
