I had a shar-pei years ago and she was the sweetest thing... but aggressive to animals. Shar-pei's actually originate from china and were bred for hunting... people say they can get aggressive and they can. I know this isn't what you want to hear... but I'm saying this for the safety of both dogs and tell you from my own experience. My shar-pei attacked my cat one time and almost killed her and has a long line of things she has attacked including snakes, dogs, raccoons, skunks, etc. Please, just be careful.
