We have one very large dog we have to keep an eye on. If he has a treat, bone, toy my little Yorkie will think there is no problem walking right up to the toy, treat, bone and trying to sniff or take it from the big dog. My big dog will start to growl and show his teeth. Thus, I have to watch him at all times. He does spend a lot of time outside so it's not really a problem at this house. But my point being that if the big dog wanted to do a quick snap at the Yorkie (to get his point across) I know that in a split second he could literally crush my Yorkie's head in.
All I can suggest is you watch your big dog around the Yorkie. His size is all the advantage he needs. |
