Here is one that my pups Have tried and like they are cookies but the ones that a friend made for us were very chewy and soft, And smelled good enough to eat myself.
1/2 cup peanut butter
/2 cup mashed banana (generally 1 average-sized banana yields 1/2 cup)
1 large egg
[1/2 cup wheat germ
1 1/2 cups whole wheat flour
[Preheat oven to 350 degrees (I usually do this after I have the batter mixed because it takes awhile to cut out the cookies).Combine peanut butter, banana and egg in a large bowl. Stir well. ]Gradually add wheat germ and whole wheat flour.
Roll out dough to 1/4 inch thickness and cut with cookie cutter
Bake on an ungreased cookie sheet at 350 degrees for 10 to 12 minutes
[I store the extra cookies in the fridge or even the freezer]
