We have the same problem on the wet slushy days. I always tell Punkin she is a sidewalk mop
Sometimes I will rinse her in the tub and not use soap so that I don't dry her skin out so much. If I have to I will use a very gentle soap (biogroom for puppies) - but I try not to do that more than once a week.
