The only thing I see different are the ears. The hair should be shaved to only 1/3 inch down. When they have the hair on the ears feather out the rest of the way, it doesn't make the ears look so large. You did an amazing job for your first try. You should have seen what my Westie looked like when I gave a first doggie cut.
Here is how I cut the ears, but you may like it your way best anyway, and of course it IS to each his own. Sorry if I over step myself here though.
