I would keep her in the ex-pen attached to the front of the crate, so she can't run or play. After the meds all wear off (in a couple of days) they seem to feel normal, but you have to remember they just had major surgery and need to say calm so they heal better. No jumping and such. I'd keep her confined for at least two weeks, and if you take her in the yard, make sure she's on the leash.
