I would not worry about their ears until they are at least 8 weeks old. Shave the top third of their ears at 4-6 weeks. If at 8 weeks they are still not standing, shave the rest of the ear. Then if that does not work in a day or two, use a breathe right strip (secured with eyelash/surgical glue) or tape them. Only my girl, Sadie's ears were not standing when I got her. I shaved the top third, nothing happened. I shaved the rest of the ear in preparation for putting the breathe rite strips in but never had to use the strips. The next morning after shaving the heavy hair off the ears, they were both standing fine.
