Who got snippy? Looks like a light-hearted thread where everyone is saying to do as you please with your dogs topknots -- bows okay, no bows okay. No reason to get all defensive. No one is saying you need to bow yours if you are not showing him. If you are keeping him cut short, a bow is sort of a moot point anyway, isn't it?

As my son would say......."Simma down now!" (Don't ask me -- I think it comes from some TV show or something -- but he says it in fun all the time when I get overly excited about nothing -- usually in traffic.)
