As jlyn pointed out, if they are going to be kept standard to their breed, their hair will be long and they will have a top knot.

i have said before - i do not plan to keep him "standard to their breed" and will keep his hair cut shorter because i do not like that look - long flowing hair - with the males. when i buy a little girl she WILL be kept standard with long hair.

It MY dog and I'll do what I want with the hair, and if somebody can"t "get it" well........
EXACTLY!!!! so why are some of you getting so snipppy by someone NOT wanting bows in their boys hair??? everyone does what they feel is best for their dog bottom line. there is no wrong or right or "standard" way.
