Sure, especially lil boys, that aren't being neutered, their male parts dropping and seating can be the cause too. Floppy ears is not always a hereditary factor.....along with what I mentioned before, ear infections can also be a contributing factor. The only thing that breeders need to do is be deligent, and if they are still flopping when they go to their forever homes, teach the family what to watch and how to tape. I've had my new families bring them back to me for ear trimming and taping....until they are held up solid.
