Thank you though for all the info.  | I guess I was lucky with my breeder/broker but my second breeder was the same way. She knows more than the vets and the other breeders I have met recently while searching for my new baby have said the same thing and most of them have been bredding for 20+ years, so I think it's true and it actually makes sense when you think about it. The average vet sees all kinds of different animals, not just dogs and it would be hard, actually impossible, to learn everything, all the idiosyncracies of a particular breed unless you "specialize" in small bred dogs.
If anyone knows of a small breed dog vet in southern California, I would love the referral. |
