Betty is 22 weeks old and weighs about 5 1/2 lb. She's not fat...just not a tiny pup. Well, in the morning, I give her some Royal Canin (about 1/4 cup) and she's finished before I sit down to read the newspaper! Then, she comes over to me and barks. When I say, "What is it?" She runs over to her dish and looks up at the counter where the dog food is. She gets frustrated when I don't get up and give her more. Today, she barked SEVERAL times and when I reached down to pet her, she grabbed my sleeve and tried to pull me over to her dish!! Then she looked up at the counter again! She does everything but talk!! I admit that I have given her more after the initial feeding, but I'm scared not to. She really seems hungry. On the Royal Canin bag, it states to feed approx. 1/2 cup per day. She would eat that 4 times per day if I let her...PLUS her 20 Cheerio treats for going potty outside. HELP! How can they live on 1/2 cup per day if they are NOT the finicky eater-type yorkie?
