I say yes! He's adorable. At 5 months, he's very close to the age where he can be neutered, so that shouldn't be a problem. As far as the ears, I wouldn't worry. Whether they stay down or go up, you will love him either way, and he'll be a great pet. Good Luck and let us know what you decide.
