Hair bands should never stay in that long.
I do Sammy's topknot in the morning so she doesn't get her hair in her breakfast. I'm new to topknots, since Loki has never had one, but I've found that the latex bands are OK if you cut them out, but I also like the "ouchless" bands if I'm adding a barrette. The Scunci (sp?) covered elastic bands are great if I don't want to add a bow or barrette. Those stay in for most of the day and slide right out. And it makes sense since I have used the large size for my OWN hair for years, so I know they work! I take the topknot out every night - if she hasn't already ripped it out! If she still needs to see I will just slip in a plastic baby barrette.
Loki seems to think that "eat Sammy's barrette" is a new game, so we tend to stick to bands. But I like the pressure barrettes with bows the best. |
