I've never done it, but I did look into it at one time. If I'm not mistaken, the AKC requires that a vet take the sperm (along with the stud DNA) and ships it to your vet for the insemination to be recorded. It makes sense to me and it would be the only way I would accept it. Check the AKC guidelines to be sure, but this way you'd be getting the dog you paid for. Good luck.
