We are currently enrolled in the intermediate class. Tell me, did Layla get "heel" down yet? Chloe is having a heck of a time with it. She keeps pulling away. I think she is afraid of getting her foot stepped on!
i feel for you... heel is very difficult with our babies... they have been stepped on no matter how careful we are.. Layla is VERY foot shy... so i talked to our trainer and said to her... look.. we don't NEED heel.... she isn't a 50 lb dog i am trying to control.. she is 4 lbs... my trainer agreed... it was causing layla WAY too much stress... so we only did "loose leash walking" and today during our test... layla acutally healed.... she was right next to me... but we got there after many weeks of just being content with her to walk keeping the leash loose... if it is causing Chloe stress.. talk to your trainer... work around what is best for her.
