We don't take our dogs to the festivities because it is VERY crowded. With so many people there, I'm afraid that someone could make a quick snatch and they'd be gone before I know it! I've seen lots of larger dogs at the outdoor events, but there is such tight security in the area that for some of the things it's close to airport style passage with bags/purses searched upon entry. We take as little as possible so that we can enjoy the sites without worry.
