When I first got my bigger dog, I noticed a slightly yellowish discharge coming from his wee wee. I asked the vet about it, and she said that it is normal for male dogs to have some discharge from time to time. She also said that the bigger the dog the more noticible (sp) it is, so maybe you just haven't noticed it very often since your guy is pretty small? Hope this helps
