what?! oh that poor baby.. good thing she has a new better mommy that will treat her right.
Now, I'm no expert so I'm just giving my opinion..
I would walk ahead of her and offer her treats as she comes to you.. or put one of those mylon leashes on her while you're at home and just leave it on her.. let her walk around the house with it on and get used to something being around her neck (or on her harness)...
as for the stairs... Kayah will go up or down just a few stairs.. she will not do a flight of stairs.. but that's because the stairs that lead to the bedrooms are wood.. and when she was a pup.. she tried going down them.. and fell... luckily nothing happened to her.. but since then, she will only do as high as maybe five steps
