Teri, my gang eats Canidae All Life Stages food and are given all recommended shots -- all adult dogs that come here are allowed "to be dogs" -- they go outside roll in the grass, eat a variety of poop
run in the sunshine and play rough. I do my best to protect them from things that will harm them however I believe that regular exposure to things that dogs would normally encounter helps strengthen their immune system. Knock on wood, Praise the Lord (really truly, He is AWEOME), and Yippie, I have NEVER had tummy problems, colds, sinus issues, etc.
Sometimes I think that because Yorkies are so small we tend to over protect them and don't allow them to be dogs.
