The last time I got called, I had to drive Downtown Detroit, pay $5.00 to park, was there from 8:30am all the way till 3:00pm. I was in the last grouping of people and we were all dismissed as they had filled their quota. It was even more discouraging to do nothing but sit there all day. I did have a few magazines and a book with me, but of course it was on my busiest teaching day and I was out $150. |
I totally agree. Its hard to do jury duty when self employed, there is no one else can do my job since I run my own business and we rely on my income. I have people that sew but no one can do my ordering, packaging, and my admin work for my business but me so if I actually was put on a case and out for even one week it could be very devastating to my business. It really scares me and Im already stressing about it.
