Saw in the paper just yesterday where a Pekenese was picked up by an Eagle in the drive way and somehow got loose and made it back home after three days. The vet is the one who speculated it was an eagle due to the claw marks on her. I had an owl come after my other little dog, almost right in front of me.. I had to duck and yell like crazy, and I live in the city here. Albeit not a big city, but a city never the less.
