I'm sure he's fine.
I know those words don't give you any comfort and you're anxious. Taking him to the vet will sooth your nerves, and if anything is wrong the vet will get him on the right track.
Some puppies get car sick and eventually outgrow it. Just monitor him for the hyperglycemia and dehydration.
