Just a word of advice: Generally, reputable breeders do not stive for puppies that small. You will find that when they do, chances are they are not the kind of people you want to support and get a dog from. Also, for the record, these same types of breeders that often use the terms "tiny" and "babyface" as you have mentioned, usually do so as a marketing ploy to drive up prices and screw over prospective owners. If you are using those terms and looking for a 2-3 pound Yorkies, that's probably why you are seeing such astronomical prices...which would pale in comparison to what you'd probably be out for vet bills and heatache.
If you ask me, it sounds like your mom is a smart woman.
