I agree with everyone --- the only time mine are off leash is in our back yard which is completely fenced and double gated and the dog park.
Just too many things can distract even the best trained and normally well-behaved Yorkie. They are terriers after all.
I've had other dogs - GSD's mainly, that I could trust to stay right with me without restraint, but I'd never give any terrier that responsibility.
The leash is for their protection. |
