I am a 25 year old and also have a live in bf who didn't want anything to do with getting a puppy. I work full-time. My puppy is now almost 6 months old, he is 100% potty trained and he doesn't bark and is a very good puppy. I think you can do it, my bf now loves him to death and everyone tells me that I did a good job (even though before they all told me the same stuff you have been hearing)

I think you can do it!!! The first month and a half was hell, but after you get through the initial getting him used to your house and crate training (ify ou are going to be doing that) then they are absolutely wonderful!!!
