I had a problem with Oscar peeing on my bedroom carpet (same spot every time) and it was starting to smell - I tried products, but NOTHING seemed to work. Then I tried mixing a mild detergent with baking soda and water - it worked GREAT - not only did the carpet smell a million times better, Oscar STOPPED PEEING on the carpet!
If the pee has soaked down to the underpadding, there's not much you can do other than tear up the carpets or maybe having them professionally cleaned would help. My solution worked for me, since tearing up carpet in my apartment is not an option. |
