Good luck! It is such a rewarding experience. I don't see why anyone would be harsh to you. You seem to be very eager to study up and learn all you can to prepare yourself--that is all anyone can do. I think it is when people don't bother to do that or beg for help when clearly, the best interest of the dogs has NEVER been a concern to them.
That is what really gets to people sometimes.
My suggestion would be to find a very experienced breeder in your area who will be willing to help you out learning what you will need to know. Read everything you can get your hands on and don't be afraid to ask questions!
