Yes, last time Scout got shots he got the combo with Lepto in it and Rabies. In two hours he would not bear weight on his legs, and when he did he wobbled around a little. He acted very, very sick. My vet gave him a shot (maybe it was an antihistamine, I don't remember) and had me give him 1/4 baby aspirin every 6 hours. My vet thought it was a Lepto reaction and won't give it to him again. I'm really hesitant now to do shots every year, because they have not done studies to see if dogs actually NEED them EVERY year. The evidence shows that we are actually over vaccinating them. This sounds really dumb from someone who researches human vaccines and feel very strongly about the importance of human vaccines. But they haven't even studied dog vaccines to see how long they are efficacious, which would probably reduce the amount of shots dogs are given and ultimately take money out of the animal vaccine maker's pockets. Ok, hopping off my soapbox now!
